This 50 IHC L110 was a true "barn find". Found it in a barn in the Slippery Rock, PA area. SD220 straight 6 and a "3 on the tree". We decided to make it our shop "Rat Truck".
Body - very solid sporting original paint and a great patina. Shawn gave the cab corners some needed attention, and blended with red oxide primer which matches almost perfectly. Note: Grill is from a 51 L110. Brent Muir added Windfall Rod Shop graphics to doors.
Engine/Trans. Carb rebuild, new aluminum radiator, and general tune up had her running well. Fuel tank was shot and they're tough to find. We scored a Farmall tractor gas tank on trip to a tractor salvage yard and installed it in the bed.
Drivetrain. Out with old and in with new. We sacrificed a wrecked 2000 Ford Explorer for the rear end (with disc brakes). Stock rear was replaced with the Explorer rear.
Brakes - disc added to front brakes, along with rear discs from the new rear.
Suspension - we had a Ridetech airbag system laying around the shop from another project, so Gordon installed it on the L110. Bagged at all four corners. Gordon also installed triangulated 4 link on the rear.
